Mary-Cathern Elizabeth Miller-Holloway, 74, of Port Orchard, Washington, passed away December 29th, 2020, with her family by her side.
She was born to the late George and Mary Scott, October 29, 1946, in Aberdeen, Washington. Mary-Cathern graduated from JM Weatherwax Highschool in 1964 and attended Marylhurst University in Marylhurst, Oregon and Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. She worked for many years at the FISC/PSNS Supply Department before retiring in 2003.
Mary-Cathern, often called MC by her friends and colleagues, is survived by her husband Russell Holloway, and her son Aaron Miller. Mary-Cathern is also survived by her granddaughters Caitlyn and Hannah and grandson Carter. Mary-Cathern was predeceased by her son Adam Miller in March 2020 and her sister, Elizabeth Anne Drew in June 2020.
Mary-Cathern was an accomplished musician, performing with the Bremerton West Sound Symphony for over 45 years, numerous South Kitsap High School fall musicals, and the Duncan Creek String Quartet. She was also a Master Gardener and Master Composter and did her best to pass along her green thumb to all that were willing to pull a few weeds with her. Her love of gardening lead her to volunteer at the South Kitsap Helpline food bank garden in Port Orchard, Washington.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held later this year in Manchester, Washington. In lieu of sending flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to one of her favorite organizations, the
